Meski untuk sebagian kalangan seperti fotografer profesional tetap memilih kamera DSLR yang jauh lebih besar. Sony NEX sendiri memang belum bisa melebihi kualitas DSLR secara keseluruhan, namun harga yang jauh lebih murah dan ukuran yang kecil membuatnya menarik.
SONY NEX-6L mengaplikasikan apa yang mereka namakan sisterm AF Hybrid. Seperti halnya NEX-5R, SONY NEX-6L juga mengadopsi sensor CMOS yang telah dimodifikasi untuk mengakomodasi pixel untuk membuat sebuah sistem autofocus hybrid. Teknologi ini mampu membuat kamera ini mampu melacak objek yang akan difoto meski sedang bergerak dengan kecepatan tinggi. Ini kamera yang sangat sempurna untuk anda yang menginginkan kamera yang memiliki optimalisasi autofocus yang sangat cepat dan tepat.

SONY NEX-6L ini mengusung teknologi sensor 16MP APS-C Full HD dimana menggunakan format sensor yang sama dengan DSLR yang dibangun sony. Kamera ini semakin memukau dengan pembenaman jendela untuk membidik objek yang akan difoto. Jendela bidik dari SONY NEX-6L ini mengusung teknlogi dari Tru-Finder OLED.
Yang tak kalah canggih dari kamera milik sony adalah adanya dukungan berbagai aplikasi yang siap memanjakan pengguna. SONY NEX-6L mendukung layanan Play Memories Camera Apps yang merupakan layanan pertama untuk mendownload aplikasi di kamera. Nantinya Aplikasi-aplikasi ini bisa digunakan untuk menambah fitur yang ada di kamera.
Pada tombol navigasinya, SONY NEX-6L memiliki 8 mode dial yang ada di bagian atas. Selain itu SONY NEX-6L ini menggunakan fungsi yang ada di NEX-5R, dimana tombol fungsi yang digunakan ada dibagian kanan atas yang ada di dekat tombol Shutter release. Jika anda menekan tombol Fn, maka akan ada 6 parameter pengambilan gambar yang bisa anda pilih.
Secara umum kami menilai ada beberapa nilai positif SONY NEX-6L yaitu
- Kinerja atau kualitas yang baik
- Berkerja dengan baik meski di cahaya yang minim
- Resolusi cukup tinggi
- LCD yang digunakan bisa digerakkan sehingga cukup fleksibel
- Banyak fitur yang cukup baik, fitur video yang dimiliki sudah sangat bagus.
Menurut kami ini kamera yang cukup berharga. Anda mungkin harus menghabiskan uang hingga 20 juta lebih untuk mendapatkan kamera lain dengan kualitas yang sama. Sehingga menurut kami kamera ini sangat patut anda miliki.
